Christopher Plummer, Michael Angarano, M. Emmet Walsh, Robert Wagner in the latest trailer for the comedy/drama about a movie geek that befriends an old filmmaker. The first trailer is here.
Apparently C. Plum is getting some Oscar buzz around this movie. It doesn’t look like a bad movie, but Oscar worthy? I just don’t want him to get his little old hopes up come Oscar night, and then he loses to Gerard Depardieu for some crappy French film with subtitles. Then life will imitate art and he will start drinking Canadian whiskey all the time whilst smoking his pipe (that’s if he doesn’t already). Then he’ll be alone in a screening of some Judd Apatow movie and the high school group in front of him will shush him because they can’t hear the same joke they heard the last Judd Apatow movie. Then C. Plum will proclaim in infamy “I was in Man in the Chair!” And the high school kids will get the theater usher to escort him outside. Then he’ll walk to his home of cats.
